The Account Manager is a sales position that will be actively calling on new prospects and cross selling and upselling existing accounts. The position involves calling recreational, medical and delivery dispensaries to introduce them to the payroll/HR products and Recruitment services. This role is responsible for identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities with existing clients. The Account Manager should have a minimum of 4 years of relevant sales experience and have an understanding of payroll, Human Resource, and staffing services. The ideal Account Manager candidate will be comfortable in a fluid, dynamic startup environment, passionate about the Cannabis industry and will bring an energetic, fun and creative approach to their work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the entire sales process (Sales research, DEMO’s, Preparation, and Follow Up);
Identify and build a pipeline of potential clients/customers, initiate and manage prospects through the sales pipeline and close opportunities;
Seek out and target new customers: initiate action plan to approach and secure new business;
Generate revenue according to set goals;
Comfortable with billing and making collection calls;
Achieve revenue targets according to company goals;
Monitor competition by gathering current information on pricing and products;
Ability to develop and maintain deep relations with current clients as well as new prospects;
Create high-quality materials to support the sales process.
Qualifications and Education:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required;
Cannabis industry experience and contacts preferred but not required;
Minimum 4 years of relevant customer service experience or relevant sales experience;
Experience in selling technology and interactive solutions;
Customer service oriented;
Track record of being a top performer, with a “proactive, get it done” approach;
Significant understanding of the Cannabis industry.
Maintain flexible hours/schedule;
Ability to work in fast paced startup environment.
